Job Description:
Requirement Analysis:
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to evaluate and determine the need for program modifications or new program development.
Program Development and Testing:
- Design, develop, or modify COBOL 85 and SCOBOL programs based on requirements.
- Compile and thoroughly test the programs on the development server to ensure functionality and accuracy.
- Develop Test plans and provide documented test results.
Implementation and Monitoring:
- Deploy approved programs into the production environment.
- Monitor program performance post-implementation and address any immediate issues that arise.
Post-Implementation Support:
- Provide ongoing support for a period of two weeks following successful implementation to ensure smooth operation and resolve any emerging problems.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in COBOL 85 and SCOBOL programming languages.
- Familiarity with program modification, debugging, and deployment processes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with HPE Nonstop Pathway.
